Test Engineers here at Trenton are some of the funniest people. Most of them are quiet, unassuming characters. They test single board computers, rackmount systems and backplanes all day to make sure everything works for you. The blog below comes from Scott L. who is one of those funny folks.

Top 5 Reasons to be a Test Engineer

1. Do you love discovering impossible integration issues, and sharing these issues with the sales team in the hopes of ruining their day?

2. Is it rewarding to know that no matter how many different monitors, SATA cables, keyboards, backplanes, thumb drives, monitor cables, mice, power buttons, hard drives, or CPU fans you try, the system will not boot if it is not plugged it?

3. Do you find yourself in the process of taking something apart then rebuilding it for the 50th time with the intent to take it apart and put it back together a 51st time?

4. Through the use of black magic, can you bring hardware back from the dead?

5. Once awakened, can the zombie hardware you resurrected run at peak performance in an ambient temperature of 50ºC

Then, my friend, you have what it takes to become a test engineer.
